Its six minutes long, but we guarantee that it’s worth the watch.
And no, this is not an ad for the Nissan GT-R. What it is, is a independent short film by Dylan Osborn titled ‘Inheritance’.
The whole plot revolves around four siblings whose wealthy father recently died. As part of his will, he orders his children to race around the estate, on to the backroads, and back home to the finish line. The price? His entire riches, complete with ‘the keys to the kingdom’.
As you can expect, the kids came with some pretty nice rides of their own, except the ‘rebel daughter’ Emily, which, brought with her a Datsun 240Z. Having pretty much thrown in the towel, Emily gets a nice surprise from the family butler, who hands her the key to a Nissan GT-R.
We’re not going to spoil the ending so as not to ruin the whole thing. Better watch it.
Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo - what is it all about? Racing of course! but there is another aspect about this trophy you do not know about! During each race an impressive number of supercars, expensive and exclusive supercars, are being killed!
The earlier report we had of the man who drove his Bugatti Veyron into a lagoon has been made a little clearer after a video was taken of the accident by a civilian who happened to be in the area when the ‘accidental dive’ took place.
Also, according to the Galveston Daily News, the identity of the man behind the wheel of the Veyron was one Andy Lee House, a man who, ironically, owns Performance Auto Sales, a shop that specializes in restoring exotic cars.
We can’t argue against the irony in this story, other than the fact that, contrary to previous reports, there were no pelicans in sight during the whole ordeal.
Suffice to say, it was just a case of a driver going too fast for his – and his cars – own good. Fortunately, he won’t have too much trouble looking for a place that can piece his Veyron back in tip-top shape.

Check out this video for a small teaser of what to expect for the 2010 GoldRush Rally.
This year’s Ferrari World Finals in Valencia, Spain was supposed to be the culmination of a year-long Ferrari racing series that takes place all over the world. What was supposed to be the final round of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy and the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge ended up being overshadowed by a rather amusing and dim-witted incident involving three of the brand’s biggest names, Ferrari chief Luca Di Montezemolo and Ferrari’s 2010 F1 drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
In respect to both Massa and Alonso, they weren’t really to blame for the incident because they just happened to be sitting in the same car as the real culprit, Di Montezemolo himself.
The trio were parading around the track in a Ferrari California when Di Montezemolo – he was the one driving, by the way – decided to make an unplanned pit stop and drove into the gravel pits. Predictably, the California ended up getting stuck into the gravel after the rear tires got beached.
We’ve all had our fair share of exotic crashes over the years and despite the stomach-churning sight of seeing these prized beauties burn, get mowed down, or get smashed into smithereens, we still can’t get enough.
In the video, two Ferrari Californias are whooping it up in the streets of Sofia, power sliding and showing off their muscles to anyone willing to take a glance. But after too much showboating, one of the cars overdoes his drift and catches an oncoming car side-on. The California bounces off the car and hits a bulldozer seconds later.
Needless to say, the lesson is very important in this crash. If you’re going to show-off your wheels, it’s always a good idea to still bear some semblance of caution. Otherwise, this is how your showboating is going to end up.
In one of the strangest contests we’ve come across recently, Chevrolet has narrowed down the list of its ‘Volt Color Naming Contest’ to three finalists.
That’s right - a color-naming contest.
What’s even more surprising was the fact that over 13,000 people submitted their ‘entries’ for the contest, which, as we’ve said, has been narrowed down to three colors. These three colors are “EV-ergreen", which was submitted by Devin McQuarrie of San Jose, CA, “Viridian Joule”, which was submitted by Dave Thomas of Sanford, FL, and “environMINT”, which was submitted by Matthew Valbuena of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.
Voters can now cast their votes over at the Chevy Volt website with only one vote per IP address will be counted over the next two weeks. The contest will conclude on December 1 in Los Angeles where a winner will be officially announced. The three finalists will also be brought to LA for the official announcement and as a prize; the winner will get to take the Volt in its winning color out for a test drive, becoming the first outsider to be given the opportunity.
It’s not much for a prize, to be honest. We were kind of expecting Chevy to give the winner a Volt model of his own. After all, he was the one who thought of the color of the car.
BMW’s next generation 3-Series has already taken to the road for some testing, as evidenced by a recent video shot of the car galloping around the streets of Germany in the traditional black and white camouflage. While details of the car are still sketchy, there have been reports that BMW is set to introduce a new line of inline six-cylinder engines for the brand’s new 3-Series.
The video of the 3-Series’ outdoor test run has raised some questions as to when the car will be launched. Knowing that BMW has a standard seven-year cycle with their models, 2012 should be the year when the new 3-Series is officially launched, although we wouldn’t be surprised if we see the car come out sooner than expected.
A short while ago we spotted the BBC’s film crew toting around in a trio of open air super cars in the Romanian Parliamentary Palace. Since then production as wrapped, the film is in the can and the episode of Top Gear has already aired. Check out the video to see what Richard Hammond thought about the new Ferrari California, Jeremy Clarkson and his Aston Martin V8 Vantage roadster and Captain slow James May’s Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder on the Transfagarasanu road.
MINI has never been one to turn a marketing opportunity into something tangible, and their latest creation, the ‘Wash Me’ book, fits all of it to a tee. Inspired by the seemingly mundane everyday scenario of cars with ‘Wash Me’ scribbled along fogged and/or dirty windows, the book features a collection of works from ten artists that took their own rendition of depicting a wide range of MINI cars with ‘Wash Me’ creatively scribbled in and around them.
Among the artist that were invited to participate in the project include Smash137, Fabian Bertschinger, Marisa Pichler and Gigi Burn, Tika, Euro, Aurèle Sack, Stefan Ege and Seak, August, Rémi Jaccard and, last but not least Dieter Meier, also famous as the singer in the band Yello.
The ‘Wash Me’ book is the latest in a long line of unconventional projects undertaken by MINI and it seems that this year – more than any other in recent time since the brand is celebrating its 50th year – MINI has been involved in some pretty zany projects with this one being their latest offering.
