The Porsche Carrera GT may be out of production for over two years now, but that still doesn’t make it any less desirable. It also doesn’t meant the tuners don’t need to stop upgrading the car.
9ff, the tuning house that has made some earth-shattering cars from Poreches like the GT9, has gotten its hands on a Carrera GT. It’s called the GTT 900 pack, and it was showcased at the Essen Motor Show in Germany this weekend.
The standard V10 unit was upgraded by about 50 percent to give the car a new total 900 horsepower. Improvements include new camshafts, less restrictive exhaust manifolds, and a special muffler with a unique valve system and end-pipes. A just in case people didn’t think you were special enough for driving Carrera GT, 9ff added bright red "look at me" paint.
There is now one less of the original 1270 Porsche Carrera GTs in the world. It seems the Porsche was trying to overtake a Subaru outside the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, and this was the unsuccessful result.
Porsches are usually known for their exceptional braking, but in the case of this Carrera GT it seems this Porsche never got the chance to prove it. We don’t have any information on what turned this into a $440,000 paper weight, but we’re still going to shed a tear for the knowing that the world has one less of the rare supercar (under 1300 were produced.)
Have a little extra cash laying around? Always wanted a Porsche Carrera GT? But you’re an underachiever, so you only have a fifth of the $440,000 necessary purchase one (and that’s when it was new and still in production.) Well you’re finally in luck. Go to eBay and take a look at this kit car.
This replica is based on a Porsche Boxter that has been stretched 12 inches in both directions. It has been completely modified in and out to look like a 2005 Carrera GT.
Do you know German Prince Marcus? Don’t worry, you are not the only one. For example this is the first time I hear about him, and maybe if he wasn’t the owner of a Gemballa Mirage GT I never would.
He is the owner of an incredible supercar collection, including this orange Gemballa Porsche Carrera GT. The car was crashed at the famous Paul Ricard racing circuit in France.
The Gemballa Mirage GT worths €725,000: €500,000 for the Carrera GT and €225,000 for the Gemball tuning kit.
Remember the day when you first saw a Carrera GT? Imagine how would you feel if you have seen a dozen of them passing by!
On June 14, a group of Carrera GT owners decided to drive down from Newport Beach to Crystal Cove to Laguna Beach and then ending their drive at St. Regis Resort.
No, not Lewis Hamilton! His dad, Anthony Hamilton!
Anthony Hamilton left home yesterday with his wife in this superb Carrera GT (at least it was before the crash!) and lost control of the 205mph supercar. It spun through 180 degrees and hutled backwards through a wooden fence and a thick hawthorn hedge before coming to rest in a children’s playground.
No one was hurt in the accident, neither Anthony nor Linda, and no kids were in the playground.
After the accident Anthony Hamilton said: This is my first crash in almost 30 years and it had to happen in someone else’s car. Thankfully the only thing hurt was the car and a bush fence, for which I am extremely sorry.
The Porsche’s bodywork and undercarriage were badly damaged and it will cost thousands to repair.
For sure Lewis didn’t took his Formula 1 genes from his dad!
You know there are women who look amazing both dressed or naked! The same is with the Porsche Carrera GT. It looks amazing when is all dressed up, but it is hot even when is bare-naked. > More
The Porsche Carrera GT was first unveiled back in 2004, and was the undisputed highlight of the year. But only after 1270 units, Porsche announced they will stop the production of the supercar. That’s too bad! But for those who were lucky enough to buy a Carrera GT, edo competition wants to help you to make it even more sporting and exclusive than it already is > More
