Ford’s ’10 Unleashed campaign has given us some pretty good entertainment over the past couple of months. There was the touching story of a blind man getting his first taste of sitting behind the wheel of a 2010 Mustang, there was that owner who decided to turn his Mustang into a rally car, and of course, there was the four Need for Speed gamers who took their video game skills out on a real race track.
The latest instalment of the hit campaign sees the 2010 Mustang take on a group of professional skateboarders in a sort-of can-you-top-this competition.
Of course, we need to have a certain level of perspective as to how this challenge played out. After all, the 2010 Mustang had the decided advantage of computer-generated graphics on its side. So, in a nutshell, you can say that the competition wasn’t done on an even playing field – no pun intended.
Check out the videos after the jump to see who rocked whose wheels.

The Mopar display at the 2009 SEMA Show was huge, however the one car that stuck out like a sore thumb was Chrysler’s 1/4 mile conquering Dodge Challenger 1320. The drag racing Challenger is essentially a street legal version of the special order lightweight Drag Pak Challenger that has already been stripped of over 1,000 pounds and is sold specifically to very serious drag racers. Powering the 1320 is a 426 cubic inch all aluminum Hemi V8 crate motor that starts off making a total of 556 HP and 540 lb-ft of torque and gets its own unique exhaust note thanks to a set of Mopar long tube headers and free flowing pipes.
On the inside, everything in front of your eyes will be familiar for Challenger fans, however a few of the other interior pieces, like the bucket seats and shifter, have been sourced from the much more exotic Dodge Viper. On the outside, Mopar keeps the Challenger 1320 simple with a basic yellow paint scheme complete with blacked out hood, tail section, a set of steelies from their police car program and only a few basic decals. However we have to say that the christmas tree incorporated into the "1" is pretty sweet.
Besides the F150 Super Snake Concept, Shelby also revealed in Las Vegas (not SEMA), a new turbocharged package for 2007-2008 Shelby GT’s and 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT’s with a manual transmission. The cost of the package is $22,599, not including the car.
The package uses a Turbonetics single-turbo system that increase the output of the 4.6-liter V8 engine to an amazing 550 hp. Besides that the package also features: Shelby Pro-Plus 4 wheel brake system and a performance suspension, Borla dual exhaust, Shelby Bar Grille and stripes and 18” X 9” chrome aluminum wheels.
No, it’s not just a guy’s rich imagination! It is in fact how the British version of the Chevrolet Camaro will look like! The car will be called Camaro VR and will debut in January 2010. If it’s bad or good, you decide!
Designed by the Danish design consultancy Hermann and Brandt, the VR Camaro features Lamborghini Reventon-style swollen nostrils and early ’70s wind-tunnel Trans-Am inspired ducktail spoiler. There are also re-sculpted bumpers, skirts and spoiler are made from carbon fibre and 22" wheels.
The VR Camaro will be powered by a new 6.2-litre V8 supercharged engine with a total output of 600 hp.
Chevrolet’s special edition Jay Leno Camaro was unquestionably one of the highlights of the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas and rightfully so. As one of the coolest cars to hit SEMA this year, the buzz surrounding the Jay Leno Camaro was more than justified thanks in part because of the added touches Chevrolet put on it. This includes a pair of Turbonetics T-3 turbochargers the 3.6L direct injected V-66 delivering a total of 425 hp, which if you don’t know, is around 40% more powerful than a standard Camaro LS or LT.
Here’s a video of Jay Leno himself taking a closer look at the car Chevrolet named after him.
After a short preview, the Saleen S281 made its official debut today at SEMA Show. Based on the 2010 Ford Mustang, the S281 will be offered as a limited edition model, like most of the Saleen cars.
The exterior features an elegant design with an understated yet imposing grille and front fascia, and a refined treatment of the familiar Saleen extended rear fascia and trunk lid with a simple, elegant, integrated wing. The car sits on 20-inch, 7-spoke alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Rosso high-performance tires.
The same elegance is being continued on the interior: new, leather sport seats with Ultra-Suede inserts, highlighted by chevron-like Ultra-Suede red tabs in the seatback bolsters, and unique treatments of the gauges, steering wheel, center console and shifter.
But that’s pretty much with the elegance, as under the hood there lies a real beast: a 4.6-liter V8 engine equipped with a Saleen Series VI.5 twin-screw supercharger and dual-stage intercooler that delivers a total of 485 hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque.
It seems that around Halloween people’s imagination is simply going crazy.Take this Mustang GT for example spotted in Ukraine, and they don’t even celebrate Halloween!
The car look like and an ex-murder’s car: it is painted with blood and their is an arm on the hood!
