Now we here at top speed have a bit of a thing for the Cadillac CTS-V ever since we had the chance to get well acquainted with the supercharged four door sport sedan. Now when we first saw the CTS Coupe concept we couldn’t help but dream that one day General Motor’s luxury brand would incorporate all of the same high performance stuff you don’t see that makes the V Series car so great into the two door version. Well Cadillac made our dreams come true when they confirmed the future CTS-V Coupe and things are looking up even more because they have just announced when we will see the 556 HP M3 obliterator. There is no better venue to show off Detroit’s finest than at the North American International Auto Show, and that is exactly where the CTS-V Coupe will make its debut.
The German luxury automaker BMW is one of the only automakers that can invent new car segments so successfully, with models like the X6 Sport Activity Vehicle. Well the Japanese car maker Nissan is attempting something similar with their first true super car GT-R. Branching out in the opposite direction from the upcoming razor sharp SpecV with a more refined SpecM, much in the fashion of the old Mizuno Spec GT-R.
In an interview with the automotive journal InsideLine, Kazutoshi Mizuno, the man behind who has been at the controls of Nissan’s flagship performance vehicle for over a decade stated that the automaker is indeed working on a SpecM version of the GT-R super car when he put the nail in the coffin saying that "we’ve always planned that after we released the SpecV, we were going to build the SpecM." The new Nissan GT-R SpecM is said to have a new set of thoroughbreds in its sights because when the more plush GT-R debuts sometime next year it will compete with high end super cars like Aston Martin and Ferrari. Now while the GT-R is sure to deliver the same super car thrills there is no word yet as to how Nissan’s engineering and design team are going to soften Godzilla and spruce up the interior, all we do know is that much like the other special edition GT-R, prices will roughly be more than double the base model. However $200,000 is still a bargain for Ferraristas and Nissan will surely sell every last one.
The Japanese automaker Nissan has just announced pricing for the 2010 Nissan 370Z. Fortunately for Z fans Nissan is keeping true to their roots with an affordable sports car, next year’s asking price will remain under $30,000. The base model with a rev matching six speed transmission is priced at $29,990 and climbs to $31,460 for the seven speed automatic version. A drop top 370Z will set you back $34,660 if you shift it yourself, and $36,130 without a clutch. However the much coveted Nismo edition is priced at a lofty $39,190 and has no slush box option. Either way the 2010 Nissan 370Z is powered by a 3.7 Liter V6 engine that sends a total of 332 HP to the rear wheels, although Nissan’s engineers have managed to squeeze 350 HP from the race bodied Nismo’s VQ37VHR making it even more desirable.

Revealed in 1980, the 208 GTB (and is spider version 208 GTS) features the smallest V8 engine used by Ferrari by that time. The 208 GTB replaced the 308 GTB and stayed into production until 1982, with 160 examples produced, in both right and left drive versions.
The car was designed by Pininfarina and featured a pronounced wedge profile, with a rectangular egg-crate aluminum radiator grille below a slim full width satin black front bumper. A square section indent line ran along each body side between the front and rear bumpers, which was finished in satin black whatever the main body color.
The doors featured scalloped intakes to the engine bay, the right one feeding the carburettor filter box, and the left one the oil cooler. At the rear there were twin circular light assemblies on the vertical recessed tail panel. A single piece lid hinged at the roof covered the engine bay and rear sited boot, whilst the vertical concave rear screen was bounded by buttressed sail panels. Options available were wider 7.5” rims, air conditioning, a radio, a deeper front spoiler, plus Michelin TRX or Pirelli P Zero tyres on special rims.

Moving onto more modern things, you might remember back in June Top Speed reported on the Japanese tuning house ASI upgrading the Ferrari F430 and more recently proposed a modified 458 Italia. But until Ferrari’s newest mid engine super car becomes readily available ASI will have to settle for meddling around with what they already have, and when what you got is an F430, things cant be so bad. However as is the world of tuning, there is room for improvement on even the most capable of Italian exotics, taking a page out of the Scuderia’s catalog, ASI has fabricated a new high mount exhaust system that spits the spent gasses closer together and through the back bumper of the screaming Ferrari. The unit was developed in collaboration with the track specialists Ito Racing, it is made of stainless steel and features a pair of titanium tips for a more refined appearance. The free flowing exhaust will offer owners more power give the F430 a very unique exhaust note, and all it will cost them is $9000.
There once was a time when the illustrious Bugatti Veyron enjoyed the title of being the fastest and most exotic car on the road with its downforce inducing curves that make the 1001 HP quad turbocharged 16 cylinder powered super car able to reach a 253 MPH top speed. However being number 1 also makes you a bit of a target for every eager tuner looking to make a name for themselves, and although there are no cars that can do everything like the Veyron, but there are a handful that are getting close. Perhaps in a preemptive move, the Italian automaker is planning something special for their centennial anniversary.
This recent spy shot may clue us in a bit more as to what exactly Bugatti is thinking about, rumors say that this Veyron+ is a new variant that will deliver around 1200 HP and will be capable of hitting around 260 MPH on the speedo. Along with a slight bump in output the new super car should also be a bit lighter, by about 300 pounds which will not only make it more efficient at speed, but bring the 2.5 second 0 to 60 MPH time down a few tenths. Now this is mostly speculation, and of course the factory hasn’t made any official comments about a special edition upgraded Veyron, however we couldn’t help but continue to ponder what the new car will be called. Possible names include Veyron GT and Veyron Grand Prix, but we are a pit partial to Veyron+ (plus). Hopefully we will find out by the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
Ford will unveil the 2011 Mustang at the Los Angeles Motor Show, but of course details on the car couldn’t be kept secret until then. Ford will also offer a Brembo Brake Package, 6-speed automatic transmission option and three different 19-inch wheels.
If you remember the Fesler-Moss Camaro Competition Package we presented yesterday and you like it, today we presented a new limited edition created by Fesler-Moss. The price for the limited edition in $150,000 or $110,000 if you already own the car.

But Fesler did not stop here, they have also worked under the hood: they removed the stock engine and replaced it with a LS9 supercharged V8 engine mated to a new transmission, drive line and axels, all new programming, air aid intake and a custom Fesler Branded B&B SS headers, cat back and exhaust system.
On the interior they have placed a huge JL Audio sound system and Dynamat to keep the car quiet. It comes standard in Fesler Moss white and orange, but there are also 27 colors to choose from.
The German sports car manufacturer Porsche has just launched the new race ready 911 GT3 R built around the FIA GT3 regulations, making its world debut on January 14, 2010 at the Autosport International Motorsport Show in Birmingham, U.K. The track tuned GT3 R is intended for competitors of the one make Porsche Cup series that runs alongside Formula 1 as a support race over the Grand Prix weekend, not bad company to be in.
The race car starts life as a special 911 and is then lightened to 1,200 kilos and then the flat six’s displacement is bumped up by 200 cc, the result is a 4.0 Liter boxer engine that makes a maximum output of 480 HP, and that is without the aid of any power adders. The BMW 6-Series is maybe one of he most wanted cars on the market. It is sporty, it is luxurious and it is coupe! And when we are talking about the high-version M6 even more. So will be normal to see lots of design propositions for the next generation sports car.
The latest one comes from David Cardoso from Belgium. His car has an exterior design inspired by the new BMW Z4, and if BMW will make it look at least 10% looking like this one, it will be for sure a huge success.
