We recently showed you what a little help from the aftermarket manufacturer B&B did to help out the Audi Q7. Well this time the tuners are turning their attention to something a little smaller, instead of dressing up a full size SUV, B&B are applying the same styling to the mid size B series coupe. So no matter whether you own an Audi A5 or an S5 Cabriolet, B&B not only has what it takes to make your new car look even better, but they can put a little extra mustard under the hood and improve the car’s handling at the same time to go along with it.
B&B offers a few different performance packages for both turbocharged and naturally aspirated versions of the midsized coupe. Starting off with the 2.0 Liter TFSI four cylinder that can have its turbocharger tweaked and maximum pressure boosted to generate anywhere from 250 HP to 295 HP with the most aggressive package generating a total of 310 HP from the factory turbocharged four banger. B&B is also ready to make more power with diesel models, the 2.0 TDI’s output is raised to either 200 HP or 220 HP and the 3.0 Liter TDI V6 can be upped to produce a total of either 300 HP or 325 HP depending on your needs. For those Audi owners who want to take their high performance Audi S5 sports coupe to the next level, B&B as developed an engine package for the 4.2 Liter V8 that includes a free flowing exhaust that raises output to a rather impressive 415 HP.
So aside from the body kit and engine work, B&B continues their work by replacing the stock suspension with a special adjustable unit which can be tuned for everything from sport to comfort settings as well as a slight adjustment in ride height. The finishing touch to the tastefully tuned Audi are a set of the aftermarket manufacturer’s signature B12 wheels sized a rather healthy 20 inches in diameter.
The German automaker Audi has just revealed details about an aluminum prototype lightweight A5 Coupe that uses the same space frame architecture that is used in the Audi R8 super car and TT sports coupe. Audi’s goal is to improve the overall performance of the midsize coupe by reducing its curb weight, by 242 lbs to be exact. When Audi’s engineers reduce the mass of the A5 coupe, they allow the engine to to breathe easier, the brakes to work less and the suspension to be tuned more precisely; making the four ringed luxury car a better all around performance machine.
The prototype Audi A5 is based on the steel bodied production car, replacing the bulkier design with the bespoke aluminum Audi Space Frame that reduces the weight of the prototype from 3,130 lbs to 2,888 lbs. While it’s currently powered by a 2.0 Liter TFSI four cylinder that makes 211 HP, in the interest of weight and economy, the lightweight chassis would make a great candidate for the foundation of a very nice future super car from the 100 year old four ringed automaker.
With all the current talk of Audi RS5s in America in the near future, it looks like this prototype is a test mule for a 450 HP V8 powered 2011 RS5. Not only would the lightweight construction make the future RS5 an even better handling machine, but hopefully Audi’s power train engineers have sorted out the new A5’s transaxle layout so that the engine can sit a bit further back in the body. Just imagining an aluminum Audi RS5 with its blistered fenders and gills in the front bumper only hint subtly at the beast that would lie beneath. Another interesting fact about an aluminum bodied FSI V8 sports car would have over twice the horsepower, so an aluminum B segment RennSport would have twice asa much potential to push around all that weight.
The tuning firm ABT Sportsline was recently asked by the adult beverage producer Radeberger Pilsner to create a very special Audi A5 Cabrio so that they can give it away in a contest. ABT started by adding their signature body kit and then painting in a few bold gold accents. The drop top A5 is powered by a tuned 2.0 TFSI engine that now delivers 275 HP, up from the standard 180 HP and can sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 168 MPH.
Audi today announced prices for the 2010 S4 and A5/S5 Convertible models. The S models will go on sale in August, followed by a fall debut for the A5 Convertible. The S4 sedan is priced at $45,900 for the manual version and at $47,300 for the S tronic one. The A5 Cabriolet 2.0T multitronic front-wheel drive is priced at $42,000, the A5 Cabriolet 2.0T Tiptronic quattro at $44,100 and the S5 at $58,250.
The 2010 S4 is powered by a 3.0T V6 FSI direct injection supercharged engine with 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.
All the models will be offered with: 3G MMI (Multi Media Interface) with 3D map graphics and SIRIUS traffic displays the latest evolution of 3D navigation, joystick control for navigation map destination finding, updated graphical clarity, SIRIUS® artist/title preview, and SIRIUS traffic-based navigation. The S4 sedan features voice-based destination input control, and voice inputs such as “I’m hungry,” “I need gas” and “I need coffee”.
The German automaker Audi has just announced prices for the 2010 A4 and A5 sedan and coupe as well as the Q5 compact crossover. In the appropriate Vorsprung das Tecnik fashion, each of the luxury vehicles have been improved for next year. The sporty A5 will start out at $36,000 for a 2.0 TFSI powered quattro Coupe with a manual transmission and will go all the way up to $45,500 for a Tiptronic. The Audi Q5 SUV is not only the heaviest of the bunch, but will also tip the monetary scales the most with a starting rice of $37,350 that climbs to $48,850 depending on how luxurious a packages you prefer.

As elegant as a coupe, as practical as an Avant - this is how it can be described the new Audi A5 Sportback in short words. The car was revealed today when the company is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The car is already on sale, and prices in Germany will begin at 33,650 euros.

After seeing the official teaser image of the future mid sized sport sedan from Germany, the first official image of the next Audi A5 Sportback surfaced today on the internet before the vehicle’s official unveiling tomorrow, July 16, during the automaker’s centennial celebration ceremony.
Prices for the German market are as follow: €36,050 for the version powered by the 2.0 Liter TDI engine making 170 HP, €39,300 for the 2.7 Liter TDI engine that delivers 190 HP, €47,950 for the 3.0 Liter TDI version equipped with Quattro all wheel system, €42,150 for the 2.0 TFSI with Quattro and €47,000 for the top of the line 3.2 Liter FSI Quattro sending 265 HP to all four corners of the Sportback.
When it comes to the Audi A5 Coupe there are a lot of tuners from around the world showing a lot of interest in the new sport back. One of them is the German tuner Senner, who has just unveiled a new customization program for the sports coupe.
The new tuning kit will add some extra grunt to the 3.0 Liter TDI alternatively fueled turbo diesel. While the exterior is upgraded with loads of lightweight black stuff. Like a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber mirror housings and a rear spoiler made from carbon fiber. The all new carbon fiber rear apron frames the new quad tipped stainless steel performance exhaust.
Keeping wheel gap to a minimum while improving the A5’s turning ability are a set of Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers underneath the signature Senner 21 inch wheels.
After we have seen a first teaser imageeof the Audi A5 Sportback that revealed the rear of the car, today is time to see the grille and the headlamps.
The stylish Sportback will be offered with buyers choice of TFSI, FSI and TDI engines. It will go on sale later on this year in September powered by an alternatively fueled 2.0 Liter TDI power plant starting at only €36,050.
